YEAR 3 FOR SEPTEMBER 2025
If your child is born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 – and is leaving Year 2 of infant school in July 2025 – they will need to start Year 3 at a junior or primary school in September 2025. Applications for a year 3 place for September 2025 are to be made through the Surrey County Council website. You can apply from 4 November 2024. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2025. IN YEAR ADMISSIONS
If you need a place for your child in our current years 3, 4, 5 or 6, please complete the admissions forms (SMA) and return to the school along with the documentation required.

In-Year Admissions
If you wish to apply for a place at Ravenscote outside of the normal admissions round (in year) please use the relevant admissions form (SMA) below.
Any parent can apply for a place at this school at any time. This is referred to as an ‘In-year admission.’
All In-year applications for this school must be made directly to the school. Details, including the application form and guidance notes can be obtained below.
The In Year Admission form should be returned to the school. Ravenscote Junior School, Old Bisley Road, Frimley, Camberley, GU16 9RE (please provide documents required as stated.) If correct documents are not included, your application will not be considered.
A hard copy of this form is also available by contacting the school.
Upon receipt of an in-year application, the school will aim to notify the parents of the outcome of their application in writing within 10 school days, but applicants must be notified in writing within 15 school days.
Where an application is refused, there is the right to appeal. Details of how to appeal can be found below.
All in-year appeals will be heard within 30 school days.

Where an applicant is offered a school place following an in-year application, and the offer is accepted, arrangements will be made for the child to start school as soon as possible, particularly where the child is out of school.
